AAI Co-Pilot Vacancy Details 2026

AAI FIU is seeking dedicated Co-Pilots to join their crucial operations. The details are as follows:

The FIU operates a fleet of four aircraft (Dornier Do-228, SKA B-350, SKA B-360) equipped with Fully Automatic Flight Inspection System (AFIS) for flight calibration services of various CNS facilities such as ILS (up to Cat-III), VOR, DME, NDB, VGSI, RADAR, GBAS/RNAV/RNP/LPV procedures, ADS-B etc., across India.

Eligibility Criteria for AAI Co-Pilot (P2) Recruitment 2026

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for the Co-Pilot position:

Educational Qualification & Licenses:

  • Education: 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics from a recognized board/university.
  • CPL: Current valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA, India.
  • Flying Hours: Minimum 500 multi-engine flying hours AND minimum 1000 total flying hours.
  • FRTOL: Current Flight Radio Telephony Operator's License (FRTOL) issued by DGCA, India.
  • IR Endorsement: Current Instrument Rating (IR) endorsement.
  • RTR: Current Radio Telephony Restricted (A) or (P) or (C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India.
  • Medical Fitness: Current Class-1 medical fitness certificate.
  • ELP: Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP).
  • Nationality: Indian passport or proof of application for the same.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum Age: Up to 60 years as on 01/02/2026.
  • Re-engagement: Possible up to a maximum age of 65 years, subject to license currency and DGCA requirements.

AAI Co-Pilot Salary & Benefits

The selected Co-Pilots will receive an attractive remuneration package:

  • Monthly Package: Negotiable, starting from Rs. 2.50 Lakhs per month, as per industry standards.
  • Flying Allowance: Includes assured flying allowance for 50 hours per month.
  • Overtime Flying: Beyond 50 hours of flying in a month, overtime flying allowance is payable as per prevailing guidelines.
  • GST Component: The Goods and Services Tax (GST) component will be borne by AAI.
